Never liked the Spinning Wheel because it is like drinking beer inside a very large unwashed sock.

Tried the food once with my girlfiends parents and it was embarrassing. Ordered a mushroom pie and it came out frozen in the middle. Literally frozen. When I did get one that had been cooked, it was more bland the Tuborg lager they sell.

Big opportunity missed when you consider this pubs location. But then Paignton doesn't really do flavour. Anybody walked down Torbay road?

(Exception: Cilantro indian restaurant is a true gem.)

Taken my daughter in a few times, always felt quite pleasant, but beer is overpriced

"Quaint"! That is all I am going to say.

The cod-medieval decor is rather fun and the gigs are often quite good. Just don't drink the beer.

locals re-united, if your from the area your going to love it. Hidden winding passages of people crammed wall to wall where you follow a chain of people struggling to get to where they are going. Good music, poor bar service, bottled beer tasted only so no idea what the pulled beer is like but I suspect most of it would end up on the floor rather than inside me. Highly recommended if you like to live like a sardine, sweat like a pig and listen to some nice live music.
