I've had some wicked times in this boozer.
Very relaxed atmosphere, great contrast of people, fantastic beer garden to use on that one day a year when the sun shines in manchester. Great fun on a thursday night and stays open late.
What more would you want in a local??
All in all i've had some memorable sessions in there!

Decent - popped in for a few beers on a trip to Manchester this weekend for the WI test match. Very quiet actually, students have all gone home presumably, but a very pleasant place. Beer was okay and bar staff pretty helpful. Brilliant beer garden and their was decent music playing in the pub itself as well. Better than a lot of student boozers i've been in

Far too expensive for the studenty area, but very nice for a quiet pint if you don't mind splashing out, and good food, too.

Live literaly 30 seconds walk from this place. It's a bit dear if you want one of their excellent foreign beers, and although the toilets are a bit grim it's good for a sly pint or to start off an evening. Too expensive to stay for a whole evening though.

Well yes, the bogs are minging [gents anyway] and it's a pity they can't spend a couple of grand doing them up...

Beer choice is better than your average pub but being owned by folk from town it ain't cheap. But it's a trade off - the pub was a dump before and I never went, even though it was fairly cheap... now it's a lot nicer, so I am prepared [just about] to pay higher prices.

The food is now good for a typical pub - most of it is home-made and I've had a couple of excellent roasts there, plus homemade burgers, lasagne, pie [all home made and not too pricey]. All spot on and I'm picky about pub food ;o)

Sort out the bogs, reduce the volume on quiz night and you've got a very cool local. And I've not even mentioned the massive beer garden...
