| The Golden Farmer has had an extensive refurbishment and now looks great! The staff are friendly and efficient and the food menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. They serve a well kept pint of Abbot and Green King IPA and the beer prices in general must be the cheapest in the area. A very pleasant surprise! | Popped in for lunch yesterday. I had heard reports that the pub had changed and was making a real effort. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and efficient, the ale was well kept and well priced. The menu was varied and cheap. I had rump steak, egg and chips. The steak was the best cheap steak I've had for years, it was cooked exactly how I asked and even the egg was cooked just right. monty - 24 Feb 2011 12:28 |

| This pub has been closed for the past couple of months, surrounded by a temprary fence - banners indicate it's under renovation and will be reopening. Here's hoping they do a good job, Bracknell really does need some good pubs! mcr - 5 Jan 2011 17:42 |
