After visiting the Goyt Valley, we found this Gem of a country pub along the way, and was made very welcome by Ian and Janet. The real ale at the time, Nemesis and Under Taker!!! went down very well, lucky we had our Motorhomes parked up for the night. The food was well prepared (proper chips) and the local people we found very intresting.
We will be back for a sunday roast, that's a promise.
Keep polishing that copper and brass Janet.

Top notch sunday lunch here and the real ale is possibly the best kept in the county! Fantastic, picturesque drive to it from all directions (Especially in a Scooby) would recommend 100%

I have visited The Crag this weekend for a lovely Sunday Carvery the choice of meats were delicious everything fresh constantly. I did notice that the times of the pub had changed and not alot of people would realise they are closed Monday but open every lunch from 11 till 3 evening 7pm till 11pm in the summer and 11 till 230 7pm to 11 in the winter. Sunday 11 till 6. They also have mentioned they welcome large parties
