| Sadly, the Hautboy has been closed for some time now. Numerous planning applications have been made for change of use - religious centre, offices, etc. none of which, fortunately, have so far been accepted, and the consensus locally is that such a unique building should be kept as the hostelry it's always been. Great news recently - though still unconfirmed - is that the Hautboy has passed into new hands, with the intention of reopening as a pub. Will keep you posted. barnwellp - 17 Nov 2008 12:01 |
