| Visiting the area, and popped into the Ship Inn, one Sunday evening with family. Was delighted with the live music. A young man with guitar. Was very talented and sang and played many old favourites. I hope he is a regular feature as I will be telling my friends about the great venue: Comfy pub, friendly staff, with a homely restaurant if hungry, and fantastic entertainment. | Hello I'm new to the site and noticed that the phone number for my local is wrong. It is now 01425 654371. The pub has changed hands in the last 6 months or so. It is still an excellent pub to visit with a very relaxed atmostphere where you can hear yourself speak over the music and with hearty piss taking friendly locals, all in good jest i can assure you.
