Had an excellent roast beef Sunday lunch at this pub yesterday, washed down with some very Nice Hook Norton Bitter. Friendly staff, lovely location, pity the rain kept on trying to make an appearance, but we were still able to sit outside in the very nice garden.

Lovely rustic village pub (owned by the village in fact), boasting 5 ales (all fairly mainstream, could do with a little more imagination on that front) served in good condition.

No electronic distractions, so a great place to go for good conversation and a couple of ales.

Recommended.

Selection of 3 or 4 good ales (up to 10 when a beer festival on) excellent food (not cheap but it is cookham!) no music - proper pub - outstanding!

An excellent find up in the hills between Marlow & Maidenhead. The beer is always great, no music or silly machines means you get conversation. They Have a beer festival on this weekend, 27th - 29th Oct. Specialising in Beers from the South West. I will definitely be trying that out.
