An absolute Oasis. The place has a very clean modern and comfortable decor but still has a traditional pub feel and the staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. The bonus comes with finding it has one of best Beer Gardens in South London, private, sunny and big. Great food too

I usually visit this pub during the lunch break when I'm at Oval test matches. It has certainly been improved by a refurbishment. Unfortunately, special test match prices have been introduced, meaning that a pint of Youngs bitter cost £3.50 last week.

Only dropped in to see the Portsmouth based band Lifeoriley in here. A mixed crowd celebrating something or other and a few locals contributed to an interesting evening.

This was my first visit and the pub felt a little lost between up market and local but the beer was enjoyable, as was the band. Staff and landlady were friendly enough. The wife was happy with the wine too.

Wasn`t complaining, just stating a fact, glad you liked it though but its totally different to the pub I remembered and as the cliche goes ,its all about opinions.

Doesn't look like picture above anymore BUT i loved it - nicely done inside and to a quality finish and a lovely paved beer garden - well impressed. Could do with larger range of ales but probably not aimed at that market anyway. Went on a sunny thursday evening and had a great time in the garden - once we got a table! Get rid of the cash machine though! Oh and ignore person below complaining about 'another traditional london Boozer poncified'!!!
