was there at the beginning of April and it was very busy on the two occasions i visited, very modern building in a good way and decent service etc and the usual range of JDW fare

Recently visited Ilfracombe and found this to be a spacious and busy Wetherspoons with ample smoking areas and rooftop beer-garden; the staff were friendly and efficient [tables were soon cleared] and served fairly quickly, the food was of a decent standard. Beers partaken of during our stay included Cotleigh Barn Owl, Bays Top Sail, Countrylife Golden Pig, Fort Barcelona Session Ale, Bays Devon Dumpling, Otter Amber, Hunter's Devon Dreamer, Air Reet Eagle [New Zealand] & Cotleigh Osprey; all well kept but Osprey was a very nice pint.

A fantastic modern new built place, possibly Ilfracombe's smartest looking building.

Inside is modern with varied seating areas and upstairs is a fantastic rooftop beer garden with fine views.

However I have never felt so board in a pub in all my life. In fact after two drinks we upped and left a £4.50 round and went off to another pub for a £7.00 pound round!
And did not regret it one bit!

Maybe I am just getting bored of Spoons these days.
