A little quiet when we arrived at around 13.00 on Saturdal lunchtime but busier when we left an hour later. Signs were that when the stage is in use it is well patronised. An excellent range of real ales and other draught offerings as well as bottles from around the world. All the ales as well as the stout and porter we tried were in fine condition and reasonably priced (especially after the 15% discount for CAMRA members). A very friendly and efficient young barman added to the enjoyment of our visit.

Our first visit here and yes it does not look like a pub but perhaps an old 6O's coffee house or cafe which has gained a beer licence!! Eclectic? Odd and sods of furniture; one large room with a "stage" at one end. Bogs are upstairs (where there is another room as well) p.s. gents bog is basic!
Great range of beers though and all in good nick - we stopped for a couple. Old vinyl records and other such stuff around the walls but the beer takes pride of place. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. Anyway, despite thre rather garish exterior - which makes it easy to spot of course - it is to be recommended. p.p.s Thye sell Seabrooke's crisps!!!!

I could not agree with South Yorkshireman more..... this bar (its not a pub) is often bloody freezing..... However, the ales are really well kept, they have lots of micro brews on from all over the UK... the bar staff are friendly and it is a quirky kind of place..I just wish it was warmer, or maybe designed in such a way to give it the impression of being a pub.... you have to visit the place to know what I am trying to say.

On the whole I would recommend this on any real ale pub crawl around Doncaster..... some of the beers are top quality !!

Visited this on a quiet Monday afternoon, and overall, found it to be a good experience. This place is built into a modern unit, allowing loads of space for quirky decorations, lending an interesting experience. The bar had about twelve real ales from micro breweries, a great choice which is reason to visit alone. Additionally however, was a board full of bottled beers to sample, including many from Germany and Belgium - Fantastic !
There was one huge problem however, and that was the almost complete lack of heating in the building. Yes it was December, and cold outside, but I only saw one little heater hanging from the roof. Whilst I do not expect it to be too hot, I do expect to be able to take my coat off. If I am paying good money for a beer, I want to enjoy it, and possibly stay for another, but this was like drinking outside in winter !!

Large selection of real ales & ciders and foreign bottled beers. Large open plan establishment with a variety of seating from wooden chairs to leather chesterfield sofa's. Definitely worth a visit when in Doncaster.
