| Gone downhill in the last year or so. Used to be a cosy local with friendly staff, but it's changed. Dirty glasses and unfriendly staff are sadly the norm now. Last time I was there I waited 10 mins to be served and I was the only person at the bar! As a local resident I have no intention of returning. | This pub has now changed hands and has now gone downhill a bit! Beer is still OK but atmosphere has changed and food is now extremely ordinary. It used to be packed at weekends and table booking was a must - now you can just stroll in at your leisure & take your pick of the tables John_Marley - 7 Aug 2006 16:37 |
| The ale is always excellent and the atmosphere friendly. There is a great range of food from simple sandwiches to the full works. It might be advisable to book for Fri/Sat evenings otherwise you will not get a seat. John_Marley - 23 Feb 2006 13:06 |
