Gone downhill in the last year or so. Used to be a cosy local with friendly staff, but it's changed.

Dirty glasses and unfriendly staff are sadly the norm now. Last time I was there I waited 10 mins to be served and I was the only person at the bar!

As a local resident I have no intention of returning. The beer was good but consistently dirty glasses is unforgivable.

Very quiet on our monday afternoon visit. Barmaid friendly and served us an excellent pint of Ram Tam. Seems considerably less cosy since the refit and flood a few years back. Pretty good, though.

This pub has now changed hands and has now gone downhill a bit! Beer is still OK but atmosphere has changed and food is now extremely ordinary. It used to be packed at weekends and table booking was a must - now you can just stroll in at your leisure & take your pick of the tables

The ale is always excellent and the atmosphere friendly. There is a great range of food from simple sandwiches to the full works. It might be advisable to book for Fri/Sat evenings otherwise you will not get a seat.
