Pretentious and overpriced. Table servers don't know the difference between diet and full fat pop. The person who wrote the specials menu yesterday, needs to resit their CSEs. son_of_odin - 27 Apr 2011 12:46
we stayed here and found the food excellant and the beer good . the only odd thing was , after returning from harrogate at 10.40 pm , the bar was closed !!! lucky we had a key to accomodation . 9ooner - 24 Aug 2010 21:57
This place is fast becoming my favourite pub. The building is beautiful, the food is always exquisite, the staff very efficient and friendly and the drink is well priced with a good range. Innis Gunn beer - mmmm. Took the family for a meal last weekend and everyone from the young 20 somethings to the young 60 somethings all were of the opinion that you would go a long way to get something that comes anywhere near as good - with a great variety to choose from. Bonus also - the rooms are modern chic and very reasonably priced. I can't say enough good about the place. monicah - 3 Feb 2009 16:04
Food was amazing, staff were so friendly and the building looks fabulous. No comments added since the refurbishment but looks wonderful & would recommend to all. Added bonus of 12 bedrooms if you want to stop over! anonymous - 26 Jan 2007 18:26
One of the nicer chain pubs. Near the RHS (North) gardens which are worth a visit if only to see the National Rhubarb Collection! Food and drink pretty good by chain standards and has its own very attractive garden Popper - 22 Oct 2004 20:47
