| Located in a quiet village setting, probably why Dr Who was filmed here many years ago - even a waste bin in the shape of a TARDIS. Stayed one night here, room was a bit tired but the beer was fine, 4 ales on (Otter, Doom Bar, Spitfire and a changing guest - RWB when I was there) and the food very good. Would stay here again as it had a great atmosphere and its dog friendly. Better than the Blue Boar on The Green, which surprised me. Breakfast the next morning was fine also. | Located in picturesque village but the pub itself seems more like a town pub - crowd of smokers outside, rather boring beer selection. I visited on the day of England's first World Cup match so it probably wasn't typical. Anyway, nothing wrong with it, but I wouldn't make a big effort to return. newbury_drinker - 15 Jun 2010 17:13 |
