Visited this pub a few times and have received excellent service and fantastic food every time!
It's a lovely country pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere, there's an old fashioned but modern decorated bar and a spacious restaurant at the rear, they also have a marquee which recently held their annual beer festival.
Would defiantly recommend this pub!

Recently saved from turning into a private house by a local campaign. Some very ancient features inside, but coupled with modernistic refurbishment. Has an air of being a gastropub, but decent enough beer selection. Visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon, so not much action, but a pleasant enough diversion from a drive in the country.

What a gem. Decent beer, excellent food, my ribeye steak was gorgeous with homemade chips, I mean real chips none of this frozen fry rubbish. I had a really great evening here, and definately recommend it to anyone.

Very nice place, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Food disappointing, sirloin steak supposed to be well done was the rarest I've seen. Peppercorn sauce was watery and disgusting, chips were undercooked too. My advice here is 'Get a New Chef; before you lose business.

Friendly place in a decent location, but the prices are too high. £2.50 for a pint of Fosters, whereas just accross the square same pint for £1.70! Frequented by chavs who wish to upgrade.
