| WOW !!! What a transfivemation ! This place has really come up in the world, 5 reals on hand pump plus another 10 or so for a beer festival. Wish it was like that when I lived here. Apparently its also CAMRA West Essex Pub of the year 2012. Attentive staff and didn't have to wait very long to get served. | First time ever in the Rising Sun. Not the most attractive comfortable pub I've ever been in ! However ,I came for the range of ales, notably the Crouch Vale ales which are rarely available where I live. I had a superb pint of CV Snowdrop and though there were many other tempting looking handpumps I stuck with Snowdrop.
