| Fantastic pub: probably my favourite in the whole of Britain (and I've drunk in plenty. Excellent, well kept, ever-changing beer. Brilliant, cheerful staff. Tasty, inexpensive food. Fabulous with kids. Friendly, welcoming locals. The Bell is one of the main reasons we used to travel 500 miles every year to holiday in Chittlehampton. | Absolutely cracking pub. Excellent beer quality, great interior, packed in May, really good food (best venison I've ever had), staff bent over backwards to help and be sociable - and they were run ragged on Friday night. Beer garden and conservatory, lovely setting in village square. Don't be surprised if they don't answer the phone. Did have a few kids (all ages) in, not a problem though. 9.5/10.
