| This pub has a slightly unusual cream and green painted exterior that really works. Inside is one L shaped room with several sets of dining tables and chairs to the left and a comfortable looking sofa with loads of cushions to the right along with a couple of bar stools and a quiz machine. There are old black and white pictures on the walls along with some display shelves featuring a tea set and other knick knacks. There’s a small patio outside with a couple of tables and lots of potted plants. Across the road is a large beer garden on the banks of the river, which was very pleasant last night. There are four handpumps, three were on selling Everard’s Tiger, Hobson’s bitter and Twisted Spire. I had a pint of the Twisted Spire which was very good. It’s a decent pub is this so I’m a bit surprised that it hasn’t been reviewed before. ROBCamra - 3 Jul 2009 14:08 |
