| Typical Beefeater type pub which is much bigger than it looks at first. There are loads of alcoves to the right of the bar, in fact it’s a proper rabbit warren. This works pretty well if you’re eating as you get a bit of privacy rather than eating in a huge barn. There are quite a few areas of comfortable seating at the other end of the pub along with a quiz machine. Sadly the only real ale on the bar when I called was Pedigree, however it tasted OK. Very food led but with a bit of a nod to drinkers as there’s a small Premier Inn across the car park, so they have a bit of a captive audience. The only other place to drink around here is the White House Hotel which has a much better beer selection. It’s OK for one as it’s not quite as bland as many of these places tend to be.
