Very well lite, clean pub. Staff are friendly and the food is good. Ales are fantastic, always taste good and they have a great selection. Always recommend this place to my friends. One of the most popular places in the town at night too as I can see when I go out for a few cheeky ones.

Well for a paying customer, the staff seem to have ALOT of attitude. I for one frequently use Lloyds for free internet access, however even then the connection is dire. The food is average, when I order a plate of chips I except golden HOT potatoes, not warmed up in the microwave, and served pathetically on a plate. The paninis are nearly ALWAYS cold. never hot right through, the sofas are extremely dirty, full of hair, and god knows what, I never sit on them, even the tables are sticky and unclean. Overall an unpleasant experience, I only come here for internet, coffee is cheap and half decent, but the staff need serious training on customer service skills, for me, it feels like I SHOULDNT BE HERE, that I AM A NUISANCE customer, however I keep myself to myself and expect exceptional service when im PAYING THEIR SALARY. through my custom.
Not impressed!

One of the better Wetherspoons. Nice modern interior which is brighter than their normal decor. Deservedly in the GBG.

not impressed with this pub at all and wetherspoons need to sort it out. No end of under age drinkers attend this pub which is not good, i have been in numerous times in the week and weekend and they are always there.
The real ale is not up to scratch, the glasses for a start were dirty but i tried every single ale on pumpo and theyball tasted really tangy and sour. the shropshire gold was awful. i asked a manger why this was and he actually said that the pumps are not cleaned regualry enough! can you believe that...
the food here is typical of a wetherspoons, basically its all microwaved, and to be fair its mediocure at best.
Staff are to be honest rude and miserable, they look over worked and tired and always complain about having to clean the pub late into the early hours. It seems to me wetherspoons are not manging this pub very well which is a shame becaus eit could do so much better.
I'm sorry to say that wetherspoons need to do something asap with this pub are it will continue on the down hill slope very quickly.
