I eat and drink in this place fairly regularly when in 'Slowit' as well as lots of others along the Colne Valley. In my opinion, one of the best places west of Huddersfield in the Colne Valley.

The food in the day is from an amazing choice given the small kitchen - testament to the foodie experience of Tori who owns, runs and is 99% of the time in the place. The evening/weekend menu is great too, with specials and ever changing fresh desserts etc

Can't comment too much on the beer. I drink only Peroni - which is as good as anywhere else. However, the wine is superb and is always at the right temperature - summer or winter - which is not an easy thing to do in this cold Valley I can tell you! The glasses are always spotless unlike most places that serve up wine in water stained glasses.

Ignore the one, quite clearly biased review below. As anyone with a general command of the English language can tell it is simply a 'flame off' from someone with a grudge or perhaps a competitor.

In summary: a very welcoming, cosy and clean as a whistle place to spend a few hours whether mid-week evening or a weekend afternoon.

The little bridge is an elegant, warm and welcoming establishment which serves beautiful food and has a excellent choice of high class wines, beer and coffee. The wine list especially is excellent. It's very rare these days to find a place which stocks such a wide variety of world class wines. It truly is a lovely place where you don't feel like you're in slaithwaite!

Best wine bar in the valley!! Great food, great atmosphere and great place!!! The bad comment which has been left is absolute rubbish! Come and see it for your self it's never seen a dump. It's 100% incorrect. They should try all the other drinking establishments in slaithwaite, they'll be shocked! It's the best thing to happen to slaithwaite in a very long time!! 10 out of 10

The little bridge in slaithwaite is a friendly and well presented Bar/Restaurant
The food is always well presented, and plentifull .
With kind regards to the previous reviewer i find the need to comment.
As to the Little Bridge being a Bar/Restaurant this seems an unfair description of what essentially is a Cafe/Bar.
Now, having travelled far and wide for 40 years this does appear to be the case.
i.e. a small,atmospheric classy little joint.
The food is exactly what one would expect - Bistro style - "NON TRANSPORT CAFE".
Having witnessed many transport caff while working away from home this certainly doesn't resemble one.
If the reviewer considers this beauty such, then he/she must be referring to the "leggers" of old, that may have used the original shed upon the canal to get their SLOP.
Myself and my wife enjoy the Good Food , Good Atmosphere and Friendly Staff

The Little Bridge has to be the worst 'bar/restaurant' in Slaithwaite; the food is poorly cooked and badly presented and our glasses were dirty and old. Poor selection of drinks - it is supposed to be a cafe bar, but is more like a cheap transport cafe!!

Our goats cheese and pesto ciabatta was slopped in so much olive oil that it was swimming on the plate - it was simply not edible. When we queried the food, the 'chef' was abusive, told us she did not listen to complaints and told us not to come back!! As if any self respecting diner would. Overpriced, dirty and lacking in any character, the Little Bridge is a little dump!!
