"Secondly, if you're not a student what are you doing in there?"
They do hold other events in the Institute from time to time - I seem to recall UnConvention was there once - so you could have a reason to be here. I remember the bar as being quite ok, though I'm not sure it counts as a pub, as it's manifestly part of the University of London.

Look, I don't recall telling anyone that story but anyway, she wanted a break apart the week before and it wasn't until Valentine's Day that she decreed we go out for a meal leaving me no time to book a table anywhere so our only option was a Pizza Hut where I got unceremoniously treated like dirt so I dumped her. Even if I was rather keen to see her again a few days later but by then she was well shot of me and refused to get back in touch.

If I find out who this is, I'm going to nail you up by your scrotum, and I suspect you're from the Wirral and you own a beard trimmer.

Institute also sells Caffreys, has occasional offers on bottles.

A decent, honest student union bar - although you're supposed to be a student to drink here. Cheap booze and frindly staff - it does its job. The sort of place you would go if your idea of a romantic valentine's day meal with your girlfriend was Pizzahut.

All I'm saying Pete, sorry GetalifeUtossa, is that I'm fed up with the bloody Institute. It's got no soul, no character and no atmosphere. They don't take cards, the beer token ATM is miles away and, erm, it's just shit.
You're better off going to a proper pub.

Well where shall we start? Firstly it's not a pub it's a student union bar, so if you're in there expecting a public house experience you will be sadly dissapointed. Secondly, if you're not a student what are you doing in there? You claim it's not that cheap, so what is your excuse for being in there? Trying to relive your student days you old git? Besides, at £1.60 for a pint of lager, I think it is cheap for London!
