Sorry to be the bearer of sad news, but Ian Rockliffe passed away on the 11th July suddenly-Tenerife's night scene will never again be the same, Rest in peace, Ian

Chrisbullet is correct - Ian Rockcliffe IS that good. An amazing guitarist.

this is a fab pub with a great atmosphere. If you like 70,s rock music, dont miss Ian Rockcliffe, on every night from about 10 except Saturdays. He also appears as part of a live band 4 times per week. I have not heard guitar played like this since the 70,s-his rendition of Gary Moore, Led Zep, freebird-all of these nearly as the original(IM not exaggerationg, in many cases better)-A visit to Tenerife would not be complete without experiencing this first hand(chrisbullet)

We visited twice this week. Absolutely fantastic guitarist Ian Rockliffe and supported by Garry Miller, ex Doctor Feelgood on Monday evening whilst Ian did a solo spot on Wednesday. If you like rock guitar played at its best and you are in Tenerife this is the place for you between 10 pm and midnight.

Very soon there will be a three peice playing here as Ian and owner Tom Kellechan, the drummer ex the Skids, plus a bassist are due to start rehearsing almost immediately.

And its free and the drink is just the normal Tenerife prices.

Now run by 'The Skids' former drummer, Tom Kellechan, the Sax Bar features live music from 10 to midnight every night, usually by well known local guitarist Ian Rockcliffe, who is excellent. Other entertainment is provided by Tom himself, who sings a selection of easy music (Sinatra, Nat King Cole etc) from 9 - 10. Beer is excellently kept Murphys Stout and the lovely Irish Red, and lager is Amstel. All proper pints here, not the 'large beer' measures spaniards use. Very friendly and very interesting, a very good night out.
