A good example of a chain pub that can make it work. Good, professional staff (most of which have been there for ages), and they do appear to look after their pumps more than most on the high street. But sort the toilets out! What a let down! Mootle - 23 Jan 2008 22:49
This pub doesn't have so much "something for everyone", but more like "something from everyone"...the toilets were a swimming pool of...well, you know what. That and the beer was pants. Birchy - 5 Nov 2007 20:39
this pub has something for everyone! they have a lot of regulars and have done for years (me being one of them) staff are friendly, beer good and atmosphere great! fridays and saturday can be busy but thats the weekend for you. they have a host of live bands, some play typically irish music but others play a range of music for people of varied tastes. been coming here for around 8-9 years and has had its occassionally ups and downs with staff but now they have a great crowd in that are very friendly and helpful behind the bar and doing table service. a quiet drink through the week, a night of football or a party atmosphere on a weekend there is really something for everyone!! snoopypants5 - 9 Feb 2007 10:49
I agree that normally pub chains are a bit 'same ole same ole' but a night is what you make of it. Look out for live music at O'Neils as there will be a wicked 5 piece band playing their not only tonight (1st december 2006) but in the future also. Check out the band tonight - you won't be disspaointed. ClaireB - 1 Dec 2006 14:02
"Dear anon 27th Sept" If you are looking for personal space and a place to sit why not stay at home and write a letter to Santa asking for a big shiny abacus! bruno - 9 Nov 2006 15:23
