| I lived in Hastings for about a year and I loved going to this place - genuine people, fun, a bit grimy but maybe that's how I like it! Good bands and love the jukebox - full of some good heavy stuff and it was old!!! I miss this place and when I come back n visit, this will be one of my first places to go to! zogdragon - 7 Dec 2009 21:22 |
| The barmen are nice and the music is great. a historic little BIKERS pub with many tales to tell. The people are lovely too, don't be fooled by their leathers. They make you feel welcome and are great for conversation. Quite a safe pub too as its in the town center and the place is thriving on bank holidays and events such as may day and bonfire night. | Disappointing live music pub, been there a couple of times now on a Saturday night and while the music and atmosphere is OK, the beer is pretty rough. Tried an indifferent and warm Harvey's before noticing that the locals were drinking Nukie Brown probably because it was the only thing cold. Despite appearances, you are probably safer here than in one of the town centre pubs. Generally a good crowd with no alcopop teens out to get smashed and start trouble. wanderjahre - 1 Sep 2008 11:32 |
| Great place for rock music, live and via the jukebox, but not the place for a relaxing pint. It is pretty grimy looking these days, we were a bit wary of sitting down in the rather dingy armchairs, but the beer is OK, and it's far better than the other dire outlets in Hastings town centre.
