Good little pub, although it is stuck under Fenchurch Street which means inside it's as dark as a Stanley Kubrick film. One quarm I do have with it is that the toilets are utterly filthy, and you get a lovely little whiff of them everytime someone opens the door....lovely jubbly. Apart from that the place is pretty good and I personally prefer it to the P+P next door. mlmcjonesy - 14 May 2008 11:43
Somewhat buried under Fenchurch Street station, but relatively cheap (considering its City location). Three real ales on, but the Pedigree was nothing special. Authentic London pub stinking toilets (well the gents, at least), with the traditional 'hot' taps unconnected to the water supply... Reading the small print on the posters, it appears to be an M&B pub. rpadam - 3 Apr 2008 21:12
Well, I would want somewhere that looks a little cleaner.... anonymous - 4 Aug 2007 14:15
What more do you want from a pub. Cheap beer, sport, pool etc. Served quickly and friendlier than most of them round there. I think Angry man must be in the cellar chained to the barrels !! anonymous - 1 Mar 2007 15:30
| Excellent pub to go for a few quick pints at lunchtime. The food service can be a bit inconsistent and one of the barmen is quite temperamental (I think it may be the same guy referred to in an earlier review). My mates and I just know him as the "Angry Man" and seems to resent having to serve customers. Apart from that though a decent Boozer, well worth a visit if you're ever in the Tower Hill area.
