Now this is what I call a good pub. Friendly bar staff, good food, good beer selection all well kept and a landlady that understands customers service. When my wife ordered Mussels some of them were unopened so I mentioned it to the landlady and she apologised and knocked £5 off the bill which was more than fair. Would definitely visit again....soon.

Beer is fine with a good pint of Harveys. Food is not good, crab pancakes fine, if you like a pool of melted cheese on top! Braised steak was tough. Staff very friendly.

Yes, a nice pub, attractively laid out with bare boards on the floor, comfortable seating and plenty of room. Same beers on as mikey64 reported in July (the Adnams' is Broadside). Tried the Wherry which was first rate. Service was pleasant and friendly. The only negative for me was that the music was too loud, but I'm afraid I find this the case in a lot of places.

A favorite local pub for me. Friendly staff and good beer. Don't object to you walking in with your muddy boots or dog. In the winter months there is a real fire.

Food is always good and value for money.

Marvellous pub. Not normally a welcoming sign with Fosters umbrellas outside but pleasantly surprised to find Harveys Sussex, Woodfordes Wherry, Sharps Doom Bar and Adnams. Tried the first two and were both enjoyable. Friendly local type pub with good food and landlord and staff are welcoming too.
