user reviews of the Jam Factory, Oxford

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I've broken protocol by reviewing this again so will be brief - in short, no excuse for these prices - both beers and mixers were criminally expensive. Needs a rethink in these straitened times.

Think this deserves a better rating than 5/10 - not a traditional pub, but does now have some good ale pumps, plus a very good choice of bottle beers like Coopers Green and a range of Belgians. Quite a decent area for drinking plus a nice covered outside area. A great bet for a Saturday night for a chill out pint and chat, when everything else on nearby George Street is sweaty and rammed with stag dos. 7/10

A pleasant option near to Oxford train station although it's a cafe really. The draw is some crisp bottled beers, reminiscent of yer US stylee microbrews. Occasional discrimination towards pure drinkers is an extremely bad habit. I'm sure the focaccia is good, but discouraging those willing enough to pay well over the odds for fancy ales is a little bit silly.

Ex-Frank Coopers marmalade factory - now a trendy bar and arts centre. Serves the Cotswold lager range on tap. A buzzing place full of young students and arty types.
