user reviews of Craven Arms Inn, Cheltenham
please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
| I agree with the previous review however, although the food was good (little over priced) all of our groups were disillusioned by the managerial staff. Rude and abrupt, they made us feel very unwelcome, which lent to a generally unpleasant experience, especially considering we were paying “premium” rates (definitely over priced) to stay in their adequately furnished B & B rooms. We can safely say that we will not be returning, and would like to warn others that although the food was good the management’s attitude towards “outsiders” makes the Craven arms experience one that should be avoided. There are plenty of other lovely Cotswold pubs in the area and we encourage you to go else where. relic - 25 Aug 2008 17:03 |
| I was told this pub had changed hands and heard of poor reviews on other sites. I went there last week and found it as good as ever. Manager may have been away but the young staff were very friendly, the food and real ale excellent. davidashbee - 25 Jan 2008 20:02 |
