| Called in here last Sunday lunchtime. Good little pub with very friendly and helpful staff. Several real beers from the Lancaster Brewery and (i think) four guest beers. Started with a pint of Lancaster Blonde which was disappointing. It had an end of barrel taste and, lo' and behold when I went back to the bar it had been taken off. Subsequently tried Thwaites Albert Wainwright and the Lancaster Blonde again, once it had gone back on, both of which were excellent. From upstairs there are nice views across the bay. Can't comment too much on the food as we only had pizza and chips (which were very nice though). Amongst our little group the general consensus was that this is a top little pub! | Good ale served in a friendly bar, best place for a decent ale in Morcambe. pwilkins - 10 Oct 2011 11:42 |
| Mid-summer's day in Morecambe was quite a depressing experience until I entered this little heaven. The Lancaster beer was excellent, four guests as if that wasn't enough and a selection of foreign beers to go at. Food looked interesting though I didn't partake, and the barman very helpful dn friendly. Must now seek out the other Lancaster Brewery pubs! JBGatelad - 23 Jun 2011 12:01 |
| this must be the best pub on morecambe promanade by a fast incoming tide.{that a take on a country mile} but then again it hasnt much competition, with the dreadfull kings almost next door, owned by the lancaster brewery it showcases the full range of thier brews .i sampled a blonde and a red and they were both spot on. it is a one room pub but the way its been layed out with dark wood furniture makes it feel very airy and continental , one of the tables over looks the bay . there is food available in a sorrt of build your own meal tapas sort of way. although we didnt eat plenty around us were. worth mentioning also was the friendly barman who was passionate about his work and the company he works for loiner8 - 10 Mar 2011 09:18 |
