Had a lovely Sunday carvery which couldn’t be faulted. My first visit so unsure what the place was like before the refurbishment but seeing as the place was packed I assume the locals approve
The waitresses could be a bit quicker off the mark when taking orders and none of them asked us if everything was okay
The only other gripe was the customary kid who was allowed to run about and lie on the floor nearly tripping people carrying plates of hot food over.Apparently this was acceptable because according to his wimpy parents he had ADHD whereas in reality he needed a kick up the jacksy and told to sit down
Kids weren’t like that in my day I’ll have thee know

Friendly enough pub with good food although the fat needed changing at the time of our visit (Easter). The chips were spoiled by stale fat. Barn of a pub with no dividing areas so a bit like being in a large corridor. Too many dogs off the lead and although reasonably well behaved can cause stress to other dogs. Beer range good and well kept. Preferred the Lugger because of the dogs. Many high tables and chairs meant that dog owners were not aware of what was happening at ground level. The locals in the Lugger were more friendly, this seemed too smug and cliquey.

What a lovely pub. Friendly and well presented. Good drinks and great food at really reasonable prices. The place was packed even on a Monday night and it deserves to be as well. Go there and you won't be disappointed.

Lovely place, excellent for food, huge range of specials on the boards above the bar, always had a great meal there, very reasonable and huge portions! Recommend the seafood and mushroom pancake if they still do that its fabulous :) Friendly staff, good service, but be sure to book, always busy!

waited over twenty minutes to be served, nobody said order at the bar. Two staff more interested in what they done on day off don't go save time go to the Lugger about 10 minute walk away. Better food better service.
