Paid a vist there again last week. This place always seems to amaze me as to the diversity of its customers, as has been mentioned by ILooklikeme. Possible the cheapest pint in the city centre, not a bad pint either. Wouls like to go in of night and see what the difference is to the daytime. Its always on my list of places to go when Im one of my backstreet walkabouts! SteveBrum - 12 Oct 2010 12:12
Big open plan discount drinkery, Cheap as chips beverages sold by staff who probably worked previously in the parole service. Wouldn`t advise anyone to go in showing either attitude or disdain for the place, don`t think the regulars would be too pleased. managed somehow to share a table with some local drinkers and found them to be genuine `rough diamonds`, bit scary but pretty interesting to talk to. They have the odd turn on of a weekend `Bob and his amazing musical organ` `Jennie Goldpants of the x factor` type stuff, worth a visit. Blastbeat - 6 Sep 2010 13:04
I agree with Mattyboy. This is a great pub, with some real characters in it! SteveBrum - 2 Mar 2010 12:13
not as bad as the exterior might make you think it is. It looks as rough as but everyone seems friendly enough inside. i think if you went looking for trouble you'd find it but if you go in with an ok attitude you'll be fine. No real ales but the Guinness was drinkable enough. Big screen for sports if you're into that sort of thing. mattyboy - 31 Mar 2009 14:47
Comments below some up this pub perfectly. Have known about and walked past this place many times, never being tempted in.. Though this was where we paid a visit Friday just gone. Beer prices really good and pool tables 50p a go. No real ale but ok price on the Newcy Brown. Will probably be bak as on route from Arcadian to Digbeth. Seaman Max seaman_max - 17 Dec 2007 12:29
