pub looks good, pity about the tall lad with a real bad attitude apparently the owner.
No food on Monday WHY ???.We were told by a local man that used to own two hotels that we would be lucky to get food any day very badly run bar what a shame for Crieff

Pub looks very nice, BUT:
-On the outside there's a sign which says there's no food on tuesdays;
-In reality they don't serve food on either monday or tuesday!
This is a pity, for almost all other restaurants in Crieff are closed on monday and/or tuesday. Only the Indian and Italian restaurants are open...

i've already recommend this venue to everyone, one of the most friendly places i've visited. food was brilliant!! the staff were very polite for being so young and my wife and i felt we were really looked after. good atmosphere although hampered by comments heard from the men at the bar. other than that i'd happilly bring family and friends here, and i'm sure it wont be long untill i'm back. big thank you to the staff at The Caledonian Bar!! visited 13/02/09

I wouldn't recommend this bar at all because of the rude service. I called round at 1pm and the door was on a chain, which is fair enough. When a man came to the door, I asked him what time the bar opened and he said "15 minutes, depending on how many interruptions I keep on getting from people like you". There was no need to be so rude, especially if one is working in hospitality. Other people I spoke to on the steps had had a similar experience. Gratuitous rudeness and simply not on when your're working with the general public. Will definitely be giving this place a miss from now on!
