| Visited 31-Aug-10 Bombadier was in awful condition, pub was almost empty. This has been a fall from grace since my last visit a few years back when the beer was pretty good. Staff friendly and service quick - about the only good points. StatusBaby - 4 Sep 2010 15:42 |
| Hi, I am a real ale lover and Everton supporter from Venice (Italy), visiting the UK very often. We (me and my girlfriend) popped into this pub a week ago (coming from Seven Sisters tube station) at about 11:30am the day of the match Tottenham - Everton, this is a great boozer full of Spurs supporters, I was not wearing blue colors but I had no problems at all with the locals, very friendly and chatty. The interior has its charm, traditional and simply wooden pub with several lcd screens showing Sky Sports, and above all great real ales on top, three pumps were on: Courage, Bombardier and another one I don't remember, I tried them all and were all in excellent nick, and very very cheap! Of course they were served in plastic glasses, as always happens the day of the match at The lane. We really enjoyed our staying at the Elbow Room, great atmosphere, the staff is kind and the clientele very nice, extremely cheap (and good) beers, a must to see in Tottenham before a Spurs game. | This is a good pub that has a much more local feel than most high street boozers. The barman was very friendly and my pint of Cumberland was nice enough. Courage Best and Bombardier were also available alongside a selection of standard lagers. There are plenty of screens and the pub shows Sky Sports and Setanta. There is a small decked smoking area out the back next to the railway arches and whilst I was out there a bloke came along and started feeding some cats with chicken slices. I counted ten, but I’m sure there were more and this guy seemed to know them all by name! I liked it in here and wouldn’t protest if I had to return. Strongers - 19 May 2009 07:25 |
| I've only visited on matchdays, but I think this place is the best bet for a pint if you're walking to the ground from Seven Sisters. Three real ales available and it's £1.90 a pint. Nice feel to the interior as well. pubcollector - 3 Mar 2009 20:52 |
| Very funny pub, in the right and wrong way. Live not to far from here, go in now again, cheap beer, not too badly kept re the ale. Very funny on a Friday. not sure about the view comment from Vera below, you have a very steep railway embankment at the back, and Tottenham High Road, not the best, out the front. Still, for the area, not a bad boozer like! JockStrap - 13 Dec 2008 18:34 |
