Village pub of considerable size. Good quality beer, the Marstons Old Empire was especially good.

This is a great place, nicely situated alongside the canal. Half timbered exterior, the interior is tidy, well furnished, with some beer memorabilia dotted about.

Usual kind of taps, but with Mansfield Cask and a full reange of Jennings on cask too; Dark MILD, Snecklifter, Cocker Hoop and Honey Bole. I had the MILD of course, at it was first rate.

Bar staff were friendly and there was a mixed clientele

Been in before, will be in again

Nice pub by the canal. 4 hand pulls for cask although 1 is cider. Strange selection of cask with Jennings Dark Mild, Wychwood Winter Troll & Mansfield Bitter ! The Troll was very pleasant

We popped in today on our way home from Brum and I agree it is a nice pub. There was a good selection of beers on. I had the Jennings 'Cocker Hoop' and it was excellent. Will be going again.

Seems the best pub in town. Well kept beers and a good range too. Food was unadventurous grilled "xxx with chips" in the main but pleasantly served. In fact all the staff deserve a mention for their friendly and helpful manner. We ventured up the road to try out the CAMRA awarded Swan hotel, but were v disappointed with the big brewer range of beer. The best thing about the Swan is the building/architecture - take a look then drink at the Bridge is my advice.
