Having wasted my time by going in to the Borough Arms, which had no beer I was well pleased with the very good pint of Jennings I had in here. Even more pleased with the generous portion of Beef stew and dumplings which was very good indeed.A good place to hide on shopping trips! steamraiser2 - 18 Jan 2011 20:58
i have to agree, expensive, and more of a cafe than a pub, good live music at weekends but then its full of people to full and you cant get served and too loud to chat and enjoy a good evening out notebook - 25 Jul 2009 18:01
Well kept beer, though over-priced, and the menu is pretentious and unappealing. The decor is somehow reminiscent of a solicitor's waiting room. What was the brewery thinking of? This pub used to have atmosphere. Now it's more like a television lounge in a cheap 1970s hotel. Wykeale - 11 Dec 2008 10:52
expensive but classy. I think ruined is a bit harsh. I wouldnt set foot into the dingy odd little place it used to be but now I quite enjoy it. Diamond12 - 1 Jun 2008 16:28
