Another coat of paint just proves you can't polish a turd. Don't get me wrong. The pub itself isn't that bad. Its the punters that need culling. If you are into mass produced fizzy near frozen cat urine this is the place. On the other hand if you enjoy actually drinking beer that you can taste. Avoid like the plague. The regular clientele look like they are straight out of a National Front recruiting poster. Inbred Pikey central. Zaphod - 13 Jan 2012 18:35
Nasty racist Hell hole, frequented by dirty old men, prostitutes and extreme chavs. Need I say more! milo71 - 6 Jul 2011 15:36
What a transformation!! Used to have the odd pint in passing before it was tarted up a few months back, now im a regular. The decor makes such a dfference, feels friendly and comfortable with a good atmosphere. The other regs are friendly and you can have a chat n a laugh with most of them or use one of two very nice POOL tables - i think they make me play better! The bubbly landlady has pulled out all the stops to make the place fun and lively, which it is now. A nice clean and crisp pint always by the friendly n efficient staff. Cheap between 12-6 aswell. Cant knock just oer 2 quid a pint. A lot of pubs dont have sky as its too expensive but the BIG SCREEN for the footy is a bonus. Its got eveything i want in a pub. 8 or 9 outta 10. Well done Sarah! minesapintguv - 16 Feb 2011 12:49
Not the best, but a very good place to drink and socialise; good atmosphere, great staff. Booze is cheaper then some of the other pubs in the area, live entertainment regularly and a pool tornament every wednesday. The local punters themselves are generally friendly, so long as your not overtly rude or insulting (much like everywhere else really). Overall, I think this pub is one of the few good, independent pubs in the area. 9/10 London_R3 - 30 Sep 2010 10:42
