Re-opened June 11, very friendly, decent real ale taken in the garden, and served food well after the 2pm advertised last order. Bit out of the way but worth a visit for lunch. filmguru - 17 Oct 2011 17:18
Re-opened as a Resturant Bar by the nearby Barclay House in Looe. Still perfectly usable as a pub though with Doom, Tribute and Proper Job on when we visited. The beer was good and served in the right glasses. It did have a bit of a restauranty feel about it and the food was indeed very good. We stopped by three times and ate twice within a week so I can give it the thumbs up. dagenhamdave - 3 Aug 2011 22:33
Sadly this pub has gone the way of many, and is now closed and up for sale Hongkongboy - 6 Feb 2011 15:42
General: Nice building/interior & nice location. Bit in need of tlc decor wise. Food prices high for what you get...lacks imagination & quality with the menu being rather bland & somewhat uninspiring in my opinion. Had several meals but all been sadly disappointing...will avoid until improvements are seen. Cutlery also in very poor condition (heavily scratched/scored). Real ale selection poor & actually very average tasting (cleaner lines may help??). Customer service skills not great...some room for improvement, although had alot worse in my time. Running a pub is a tough game...if improvements are not made here then it may prove very tough for these publicans. lovemebeer2 - 10 Dec 2009 17:08
