| 8 of us went here 3 weeks ago. Very busy on the night which may have accounred for the poor quality of the food. Only a couple got side veg with their meal, 1 got sea bass which came on top of a few of slices of potatoes and little more. | Although a hotel this is the locals pub, particularly now that the big Jennings pub opposite has been closed for 12 months and is still far from being refurbished. The landlord used to work at Sellafield and bought the place two years ago apparently to realise his dream of running a pub. But recent illness has caused them to put it back on the market, which is a shame as he is a very personable chap and welcomes newcomers (Coast to Coast walker visitors like me) in a friendly fashion.
