Went to the Riverside today for lunch, was very dissappointing, service quite poor, all three choices we made for lunch were off the menu and what we eventually had didn't offer value for money at all. Also, I would agree with other comments re prices on drinks, whilst the location is nice being on the river, Youngs have got it wrong here. Wadman - 1 Dec 2011 20:37
Nice pub with a lovely setting on the river, you can't go wrong here if you are wanting an outside warm summers evening drink. Ideally located not too far away from the Oval so its a good choice of pub if you want to try and avoid busy pubs after watching the cricket and don't mind walking for about 1o minutes. Good varied choice of drinks and clean facilities too.... gumbo - 16 Aug 2011 13:42
Only go to this pub if its sunny - otherwise it's overpriced for what it is but on a sunny evening on the patio it's a great place for a drink and also really good for large groups as they're fine about reserving tables for free. It's one of themost expensive pubs I've been to, really hitting the top of what you'd expect to pay even in central London but the service is quick, staff are friendly. oldjg1 - 22 Jun 2011 18:14
Amazing location, polite staff, not cheap but you wouldn't expect it to be. Full of snooty suits at lunchtime. Herb pots on the tables outside was a nice touch (small things!) Though for a Youngs pub you might expect them to know when a barrel needs changing and not serve a pint of cloudy vinegar... 7/10 purely for the view. popalug - 3 Jun 2011 13:36
nice layout, great position with views across the Thames and nice beer range... the problem lies with the food - not great, too expensive for what you get PabloM - 9 Nov 2010 15:08
