| I first came here in 2003 and was amazed: it was like walking into a proper English local pub. Really friendly customers - a genuine mixture of expats and locals, and a great landlord who is a fanatical Newcastle fan (don't even think about entering this place wearing a Sunderland shirt!). Did quiz nights, showed the footy and felt like a proper English boozer. Unfortunatley it's now been 'done up' with the result that it looks just like any other western bar in Malaysia. Which is a great shame. Definitely still worth seeking out: it still has a nice mix of people there, still serves cold beer in an air-con climate, still run by the Geordie landlord who is as friendly as ever, but it has lost that special sparkle it used to have.
