| I've read it's up for sale. Let's hope that some money is invested in this old boozer. Landlord got a bit snooty as i'm not a local lad. johnlikesagoodbeer - 15 Mar 2008 11:12 |
| Came in here, kids running about everywhere on a sunday afternoon. the landlords as old as the pub but pleasant enough. soon all pubs like this will be dead, its not done anything since 1977, the fittings are 1977, the glass 'wash' is 1977, the landlord looks like he died in 1977, and they've not had a fresh keg roll into the cellar since, yep, 1977. nice enough crowd though BolshevistBoozehound - 28 Dec 2007 19:18 |
| It's like some other pubs in Dudley, in that they open when they feel like it. Last visit here was abysmal. The place has an old fashioned atmosphere (and old fashioned bogs). The bitter was like soap suds. Left half a pint and shot round the corner into the Old Priory for a PROPER pint. The_Minders - 3 Feb 2007 19:47 |
| Hoped to get a reasonably priced pint of Holdens MILD in here tonight but it was closed. So went to the nearby Saracens Head and was shocked to have to pay £2.55 for a pint of Hansons MILD, the most expensive MILD in the World. Is the Shrewsbury Arms always closed on Sundays????
