an excelent local pub. don't let the darkened windows scare you off this is a lovely place to spend a winters evening. great locals, good beer and cider. copper ale recomended, seem to remember it being pretty cheap as well.

Maybe not so lively as the Red Lion, but a friendly old fashioned pub with good beer, acceptable food and nice enough clientele.
