| A Mothers' Day trip here proved very disappointing. £17.95 was far too high for a very average, poorly prepared 3 course meal. My starter, Chicken Caesar Salad, had a few pieces of chicken amid some elderly lettuce leaves. The roast beef in the main course was overdone and the vegetables had had all taste boiled out of them. Desserts weren't bad though I noticed the women in our party did not finish their chocolate desserts (which is a first!). The pub decor is dowdy & depressing. Members of our party who visited the Ladies' loo said it was scruffy with broken fittings. However, the waitresses were attentive and the service was prompt. Will never go back there, though.
