| Went here for a quiz night that was a bit strange and complicated drinks were expensive and the place seemed a bit dour but this was early last year so may have improved porshacat - 6 Jan 2007 14:59 |
| This pub has just been taken over by two new managers. Since they been in the pub it is a much nicer place and the beer has improved. I havn't eaten there yet but they have a new chef and menu etc. I just go for a good drink and the social thing. Think it will get much better in the future as a refurb is on the way. richyt - 14 Nov 2006 17:17 |
| with out a doubt the worst place i have ever eaten. the people who run the place will be bankrupt before long. the food was rubbish, the service not much better & the music was so loud also the staff had a very unclean appearence about them & smelt of body oder!!! | I would advise you not to eat food here. A group of friends and I ate there yesterday (30/9/06) and we waited over an hour to get our food - soup and sandwiches. Once the food arrived, we tucked in, until one person noticed a maggot on her plate. On inspection, we discovered that the salad was covered with maggots, both alive and dead. The staff tried to convince us that the salad had been washed, but it obviously hadn't. If they cannot meet such a basic hygiene requirement, you have to wonder what else they are not doing... anonymous - 1 Oct 2006 17:27 |
| This pub has now finalised its transition to restaurant. The food and service when I went were both terrible: the wrong main course was brought out, and then corrected with something that was manifestly microwaved. Unluxurious on the inside, and a little unkempt by the river. THe beer is so-so. thedts - 5 Sep 2006 03:29 |
