| Unfortunately by implication you gave the impression that The Beech Arms is a bit down market and therefore not worth a visit i.e. because the food served is inexpensive it is of a lower quality and therefore only worthy of what you see as the lower classes, the wearers of 'shellsuits'. | Ignoring 'fiftyfive - winchesterclub & to a lesser extent anonymous' who just illustrate snobbery at its worst The Beech Arms is an Old English County Pub at its best offering inexpensive food, pleasant surroundings and first class service. The food offered by the Carvery is excellent, just as good as you could buy in any four star restaurant offering a similar service, the only difference is it does not cost you an arm or a leg.
