Being from Newcastle, the name intrigued both the Mrs and Me. 4 Real ales on tap along with the other usuals. Very friendly staff and a very good nenu

Nipped in here this last night while my son was at the Lennoxlove Book Festival, listening to JK Rowling plug her new book! I went into the lounge, which is laid out for diners, but they were quite happy for me to have a pint and no food! The staff seemed quite helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was ok ( for a quiet lounge...the bar sounded much busier!) and the pint was good...Atlas Latitude. Nice pub!

Just visited today after a year. new owners, had an enjoyable excellent meal this afternoon at 14.20 8 July 2010. I was in a wheelchair with my wife and was made to feel at home, it was friendly. Will be returning again soon.

An excellent pub with two bars (saloon and public). Real fires burn away in the hearth during the winter months, real ales are excellent with Deuchars IPA, Bombardier, and a regular guest ale on. Food is well priced and is very well done too. All in all an excellent and very friendly and lively local.
