WARNING
The map is wrong... The symbol is pointing at the real location of the 'London Canal Museum' & the London Canal Museum symbol is where ‘The Driver’ is situated.
Confusing or what…. ;-{}

Not bad inside but eye wateringly expensive, I know kings cross is up and coming but what they're charging here really does take the proverbial...

Not a bad effort for Kings Cross but a little confused as to what it wants to be, gastropub, club, private hire venue?

Downstairs is lovely, rustic wooden tables, subtle lighting, good wine list and the odd curiosity adorning the walls but upstairs looks a bit like a boudoir with flash leather sofas, lurid colours and seems a bit incongrous with the ground floor.

Cute little terrace on the top floor but a bit of a trekk if you are laden with pints.

Living in the area it is a good addition though and will be back to eat downstairs soon!

Surprisingly good. The bar downstairs is roomy, nicely lit and smart in decor. Drinks choice is modest but they do serve Taylor's Landlord. Food looks excellent. Roof garden is a bit of a trek but is a nice place to be if the sun's out although there isn't a view (unless you're over 6 feet tall).

Generally speaking the area is bereft of decent boozers and because of this, The Driver is definitely worth a visit. However it's unlikely to blow you away in any form.

Certainly better than I expected for the area, and surprising quiet for mid-evening. Decor-wise, an interesting mixture of old and new, and the food looked good. Reasonable pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord.
