| So Roger has moved on....... The food is as good if not better than before, The range of beers will be changing in the next week to include Bulmers on draught as well as 2 real ales and they do Sunday Luches for a reasonable price! Give the new people a chance- you might even like it! anonymous - 6 Sep 2007 17:09 |
| Rumour has it that Roger has sold out to Scottish and Newcastle...so I suppose there will be changes in the air ......not too many I hope lilscse - 2 Aug 2007 17:46 |
| Sensibly managed by Roger & his wife. Not my favourite person (a bit of a petulant child in his Dog & Gun days) but seems to have matured with his ability to run a solid pub. Does good food during the day and is very busy in the evenings during the weekend melee. Does have its fair share of a clique but still a relaxed, friendly pub and good for a late drink. Food: Very good food, good price. Decor: Becoming due for a minor service Toilets: Clean (most of the time) Service: Friendly, efficient bar staff. Sometimes, even Roger manages to smile. | Hook Norton and Boddingtons on draught in this busy one bar town centre pub very busy for food at lunchtimes so that tells you something...at nights it fills up and empties quickly as the pub crawlers wend their way around the town ......regulars all congregate to the left of the bar......still closes halfway through the afternoon so beware lilscse - 15 May 2006 09:20 |
