Ate and drank here a few weeks ago with a group of friends. We all had lunch, some had proper main meals, other just had sandwiches. I had mussels which were lovely, it came with bread and chips. I think there were about 3 real ales on tap, not particularly exciting selection but kept well. It was a lovely day so we sat in the good beer garden. We were walking, pub only really accessible by foot or car. Would agree with the other comments, not exactly a villagy feel to the pub but it is definitely worth a visit. rwjc22 - 10 Aug 2011 11:58
The Green Man puts some of the more expensive eateries in Woburn to shame. Excellent food, warm and friendly service, good value and that good old country pub feel. Eating the chocolate bread and butter pudding in front of the log fire on a cold winter's night is heaven.... slw532 - 19 Jul 2010 15:41
Visited yesterday. Three cask ales on (for once not GK). So, a good choice. Perhaps, for a free house, a little expensive at £3.00 ++. The lunch was excellent. The service attentive and helpful and good natured. Log fires and a good atmosphere. A bit of a pity that the interior has been over modernised in a sort of "IKEA" type of design. Enthusiastic energetic landlords. All in all, a good pub well worth taking the trouble to visit. BeerEnthusiast - 1 Mar 2010 09:36
Not keen on the design at all. A beautiful location opposite the church and stunning views across the countryside. I really have no idea why the interior has been ruined. However, the beer was superb and the bar staff were friendly so it's a definite thumbs up from me! adamcroft - 20 Oct 2009 13:02
Another English village pub spoilt by modernisation. The interior was quite dull but the atmosphere was lively with a couple of middle aged women at the bar who had obviously had a few. Meals appeared to be popular. There were 2 real ales - Fullers London Pride and Buntingford Britannia. blue_scrumpy - 10 Apr 2009 12:08
