I have been to this pub about 4 times over the past year, the food is great quality and tastes superb. Its obvious that they must have a talented chef in that kitchen. The staff are friendly and the general look and feel of the pub is really nice. Highly recommended. steve360 - 20 Oct 2008 16:42
I have visited the Village House on several occasions before & since their refurbishment about a year ago, & I have to say that it has vastly improved since. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is always good. The food is very tasty, well presented & competitively priced. I would especially recommend the fish & chips, or free range chicken, leek & mushroom pie - both great. Enjoy! a_wine_lover - 20 Oct 2008 15:01
We frequently visit the Worthing area - and have eaten in The Village Inn on many occasions. Without exception, our meals have always been very tasty, well prepared, well presented and with excellent service. No cause to complain - and we'll keep coming back for more! foodies_Derby - 19 Oct 2008 18:22
Finally - a pub with free range chicken on the menu! Well presented honest food, with excellent service too. We shall be coming back soon. a.punter - 18 Oct 2008 21:41
Went in to their restaurant with some friends on friday night..what a load of rubbish!!! Just as an example my starter sounded good on the menu "Sliced tomatoes on a toasted ciabatta with mozarella" at around £6 I expected something a bit more well presented and edible. However, I got a roll cut in half which was toasted to the consistency of a brick with 2 thick slices of under ripe cheap tomatoes and a bit of mozarella that dissapeared with the first miniscule mouthful. The other starters were not much better and as we had already ordered our main courses we were hoping for something better. Not to be though as it was all a bit amateurish and tasteless. The surroundings were not much better and it had no atmosphere whatsoever. This all cost us over £100 for 4 people and we didn't have wine and only a couple of drinks. Be warned, this is a pub pretending to be a restaurant and if the food that we had was anything to go by it's an absolute rip off!!! BRENHOP - 13 Oct 2008 14:13
