| This is a really nice pub, the food is excellent and compared with anything else available in the village its world class. if the pubs empty you can feel a little stuck out as its a big old place. the beer on offer is a wide range but nothing special(pride,sussex, kronie,bulmers, press). they do have one guest ale on which changes regularly. the staff are very pleasant and the landlord and lady are a lovely couple who go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. only one grumble they don't show much football, can't have everything. naspot1 - 26 Feb 2009 15:58 |
| Nothing more than a very average pub. The beer selection is nothing to rave about and nor is the food menu, worth popping in if your having a few drinks in the Village but with John Henrys and the Snooty Fox this doesnt come close to them 2 pubs. superseagulls - 16 Feb 2009 18:59 |
| I am a partner in the Village House and have been asked to look into comments on this site. I would really like to stress that none of the 'reviews' below have anything to do with us. we really welcome criticism, good and bad, and after checking some comments, discovered they were made, with very good intentions, by some regular customers who frequently read the site. We would really welcome anyone who has posted a comment below to come and visit and have a chat, and hopefully you would see that 'mdp's' would be the last thing we would do.
